Brahee-Stomberg Families

This website is for the family history and genealogy of the Brahee and Stomberg families and ancestors from Sweden.  The intention is to preserve and document our history for our families and descendants.

The families arrived in America from Sweden during the 1800’s. They stayed primarily in the Carver County area close to Minneapolis with one branch in South Dakota.

We (Alice and Laura) began exploring family history and genealogy during the late 1990’s and have continued off and on since. During these years we gathered the work done by many others and our biggest contribution is tying it together.

We also hope to write a book for the family presenting the information in a narrative format along with the genealogy. Other interests still take up most of our time, but we want to put as much of this online as we can.

Not being trained genealogists and more interested in the narrative, the documentation is not rigorous although it often seemed so.
