Alfreda Mathilda (Brahee) Anderson
Alfreda Mathilda Brahee was born 30 May 1879 in Lekåsa Parish, Bragnum, Sweden as the second child of August (Pettersson) Brahee and Anna-Stina Johansdotter. She had seven siblings, namely: Alfrida Maria, Gustaf Oskar, Ada Axelina, Oscar Adolph, Ada Emerentia, Anna Theodora, and Walter Edwin. She died on 20 Jun 1976 in Augustana Home in Mpls. When she was 17, she married William Anderson, son of Samuel Anderson and Maja Stina Andreasdotter, on 24 Nov 1896 in The Brahee Home, West Union, Carver Co. MN.
Alfreda Mathilda Brahee emigrated from Gothenborg, Sweden 05 May 1882. She was buried 22 Jun 1976 in West Union Cemetery. She was also known as Freda.

Wilma Hall told Alice and Laura (19 Aug 2000) this photo was taken the day the children changed their name from Anderson to Williams. We were told they changed their name because there were so many Andersons and their mail got mixed up. Mabel had just received an engagement ring and Fritz had been teasing her. Fritz called Wilma “Girlie” and never used her name.
